Iran attacks Israeli hospital; 200 injured (Social media)
International News: West Asia is once again on the brink of war. The tension between Iran and Israel has increased so much that the fight is no longer limited to military installations, but civilians, hospitals, and strategic nuclear installations have also come under the grip of this conflict. In the latest development, Iran targeted Saroka Hospital in the Israeli city of Beersheba, while in retaliation, Israel attacked Iran's nuclear plant in Arak.
Saroka Hospital, which is the main center for the health needs of millions of citizens of South Israel, became the victim of a well-planned missile attack. The hospital suffered heavy damage in this attack, and at least 200 people were injured. A total of 240 people have been confirmed injured, of whom four remain in critical condition. Targeting hospitals is not just a war strategy but a blatant violation of international laws.
Immediately after the attack, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the press and directly blamed Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei for the attacks. He said, "As long as Khamenei keeps attacking our citizens, Israel will not stop the war. This is a decisive conflict." He made it clear that now Israel will adopt an offensive policy, not a defensive one.
The Israeli Air Force on Thursday targeted the heavy water reactor located in Iran's Arak city and another nuclear complex located near Natanz. These locations are being described as part of Iran's alleged nuclear weapons program. Although there is no report of any kind of radiation spread so far, this action has raised concerns internationally.
America's position is also getting complicated amid this entire conflict. Recently there were reports that Israel had planned to kill Ali Khamenei, but US President Donald Trump stopped it. Trump clarified, "There is no plan to kill Khamenei at the moment." However, the increasing pressure on America in view of Israel's stance may now force Trump to make a big decision.
According to human rights organizations, so far 639 people have died on Iran's side in this conflict, while 24 civilians have been killed and more than 1,000 injured in Israel. Iran is now firing multi-warhead missiles, due to which the Israeli defense system is having great difficulty in stopping them.
Meanwhile, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reached Geneva. On Friday, he will meet with European leaders and try to resolve this crisis through talks. This conversation is being seen as the last hope.
The Iran-Israel conflict is now at a decisive turn. From the general public to international institutions, everyone's eyes are now on America. What decision will Trump take? War or peace? The next few days will decide the direction of global politics and humanity.
